Uses
All the stuff I use. Explore uses.tech for other peoples setup.
Hardware
- 14" M1 MaBook Pro from 2021 running Tahoe
- Apple Studio Display
- k•no•b•1 with a custom wooden wrist wrest from Etsy and leather sleeve for transportation that I made myself.
- MX Vertical and MX Master
- AirPods Max for when I'm sitting still and AirPods Pro for when I'm on the go.
- Satechi USB-C 2.5 gigabit ethernet adapter as I still prefer a wired connection over WiFi.
Software
- Ona for all my development
- Visual Studio Code remotely connected to my Ona environments
- Ghostty for when I need a terminal locally
- Raycast as my primary interface to macOS
- CleanShot X for screenshots and videos
- Karabiner Elements for some extremely custom key-mappings. You can find my configuration here.
- 1Password for all my secrets
- Notion for all of my notes
Desk
I currently have two office locations. A co-working space where I spent the most of my time:
- For my desk setup I use Balolo and I’m really happy with. It consists of the Monitor Stand Medium, Tray, Cable Organizer, and Headphone Holder
- HÅG Capisco 8106 in black select wool
And a lightweight setup for when I work from home
- Vitsoe 606 Universal Shelving System with their Desk Shelf
- A vintage leather Arne Jacobsen 7eren on wheels
- An old school 27" Apple LED Cinema Display that's still going strong
- Logi HD 1080p webcam as the built-in camera on the Cinema Display is a bit too old
Photography
I shoot with a Fuji x100v. I use the Lens hood LH-X100 which also includes the Adapter ring AR-X100. I have mounted a Fujifilm x100v Folding Thumbrest by Lensmate in the hot shoe; I found this to provide additional grib without making the camera too bulky. For filters I use Urth Magnetic Essentials Filter Kit Plus+ (49mm)
For storage I use a Lexar Professional 1066x SDHC/SDXC kort - R160/W70 - 256 GB.
I use Larmor (GGS) Fujifilm x100v LCD protector ultra thin optical glass to protect the LCD display against scratches.
I print my photos using a Canon Selphy CP1300 printer.
